About the Role & the Team

This role will provide an opportunity to work for a company where the HR team are highly regarded within the business. You will be a part of a close HR team who have a wide range of skills and knowledge, not only do they work well as a team they also like to socialise outside of work. The ideal candidate will be part of a strategic HR team implementing continuous improvement initiatives, getting involved with a variety of project work including international projects.

This role will be based in Doncaster with travel across other Heras sites in the UK once a month.

Role Overview

  • Supporting on HR and Employer branding initiatives
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders in order to maximise influence across the business
  • Drive performance in partnership with senior leaders to enable better business performance
  • Keeping in touch with the challenges facing the business and making commercially savvy recommendations
  • Supporting the Data Analytics Business Partner with data driven improvements and solutions
  • Support in the development of junior team members (HR Advisor/HR Administrator)
  • Create and implement engagement initiatives in line with company goals and objectives
  • Measuring and monitoring employee engagement levels across the business and implementing learning points from survey data
  • Championing wellbeing and implementing wellbeing initiatives including mental health
  • Supporting and managing employee relations including restructures, settlement agreement, absence management, disciplinaries and grievances
  • Advising leaders and employees on company policies and procedures including interpretation of policy
  • Reviewing and updating of company policies, processes, and procedures in line with legal and operational changes
  • Designing and delivering in-house training for both face to face and remote training sessions
  • Assisting the HR Manager with HR projects including talent management and succession planning

Essential

  • Undergraduate degree in a related subject or CIPD Level 5 qualified
  • Strong HR generalist experience within a fast paced and demanding role with conflicting priorities
  • Working in manufacturing, construction or engineering
  • Experience in using HRIS systems
  • Significant experience in managing complex employee relations issues including restructures and settlement agreements
  • Strong understanding of statutory legislation and procedures relating to HR
  • Substantial exposure to coaching and upskilling line managers to ensure compliance and commercial outcomes
  • Managing and delivering HR projects

Desirable

  • Level 7 CIPD qualified or masters in a related subject
  • Experience or using Cascade or IRIS
