This role will provide an opportunity to support the Service Department and involves liaising with customers, arranging engineer schedules, raising quotes, ordering equipment, and general admin within the Service Department to ensure the smooth running of the department. The department consists of a Service team Leader, 4 Service Coordinators and a Parts Coordinator.

This role will be office based in Doncaster. There will be a requirement to travel to the Middleton office for training session as and when required.

Role Overview

  • Answering incoming calls and emails from customers who want to buy spare parts
  • Liaising with technical teams to get part codes for quotes/orders
  • Using your customer service skills to handle and resolve any customer queries
  • Creating quotations for customers
  • Processing Purchase orders
  • Ordering parts for internal and external customers, ensuring parts are ordered and delivered within the agreed timescale
  • Follow up on estimated time of arrivals, deliveries and PODs with suppliers and communicating with customers

About You

Our Ideal Person

A confident go getter with key customer service, communication and organisation skills. You will be inquisitive by nature and has a keen interest to develop and broaden your knowledge.

Essential:

  • Experience working within a similar customer service and/or purchasing role
  • Administrative and Customer Service experience
  • Experience in purchasing and purchase orders
  • Use of ERP or similar systems
  • Practical approach to work and problem solving

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of perimeter protection products
  • Use of Microsoft Navision system
  • Experience within the construction or engineering industry
