Production Operative Skilled (Welder/Fabricator) – Doncaster

We are currently searching for Production Operative Skilled (Welder/Fabricator) to join our Production team in our Doncaster factory. This role will be based within a manufacturing environment.

We offer entire end to end perimeter protection solutions for both permanent and mobile fencing; our permanent fencing can be found on the perimeter of large corporations whilst mobile fencing is used largely at festivals and gigs.  We are a market leader with major ambitions for the UK marketplace.

Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Production Operative Skilled (Welder/Fabricator) with initiative who is looking for an opportunity to grow within an industry leading company. This role will involve working within the production team within a busy manufacturing environment.

To assemble goods using parts or raw materials in line with quality control. The role includes safely operating machinery to create products and ensure finished items meet the required standard. This role requires to interpret blueprints, drawings and measurements to plan layout. Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based requirements and welding components and materials together based on the requirements.

This role requires someone with a high attention to detail to perform quality control checks to ensure the final assembly meets the required standard.

Hours of work are 8am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-3.30pm on Fridays (39 hours per week).

About You!


  • Welder or Welding Fabricator Certifications
  • Experience of working within a similar role
  • Wealth of welding experience
  • Experience in welding a variety of materials and components
  • Knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment and manual tools
  • Previous internal training on the completion of tasks using machinery
  • Good at building working relationships
  • Able to read drawings and plans
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work and ways of working
  • Motivated by targets
  • A practical and pro-active approach to work
  • Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
  • Effective communication skills
  • Positive work ethic

Not Essential but Desirable:

  • Manual handling trained
  • Working within a manufacturing environment in the construction industry
