We are currently searching for a Lead Installer – Electrical to join Heras.

The Lead Installer – Electrical will report to the Regional Installation Manager, based in the UK. The overall purpose of this role is to carry out quality installations of Entrance Control and PIDS equipment to a high standard and in an efficient manner. The role will work as part of a team and will have a focus on health and safety and customer service at all times.

Role Requirements

  • Carry out and conduct all Health, Safety and equipment checks. Check drawings for site to ensure
    installation in correct area.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety regulations at all times.
  • Ensure area of work is cordoned off and in place where work entails working near public areas.
  • Carry out product inventory check to ensure all products will fulfil the job requirement completely.
  • Carry out product checks on receipt of equipment to ensure quality is as expected.
  • Ensure appropriate PPE is worn for each task undertaken i.e., dust masks for cutting, etc.
  • Ensure full communication with clients/customers and Project Manager to ensure the smooth running of the job and that any problems are immediately identified for resolution.
  • Install equipment in line with project plan.
  • Ensure the customer/client and Project Manager is kept informed and that finished work is checked for accuracy, quality and completeness.

Some of the key skills and competencies include;

  • Driving License
  • CSCS Card
  • Basic English and Maths skills
  • Electrical experience
  • IEE 18th edition qualified
  • Qualification in controls, electrical, electronic or software field
  • Abrasive Wheels Certificate
  • SSSTS Card
  • SMSTS Card
  • First Aid at Work Certificate
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to resolve issues appropriately
  • Collaborative with the ability to work as part of a team
  • High level of personal and professional commitment
  • Open and honest approach
  • Positive work ethic
  • Previous work experience in entrance control / PIDS industry
  • Experience with electronic control panels, hydraulic power units
  • Wealth of experience working in installations
  • Flexible, with the ability to work on own initiative and to tight timescales
  • Ability to understand site layout drawings and plans
  • Ability to understand electronic schematic drawings
  • Good knowledge of perimeter protection products
