Job: Installations Lead Fitter

Location:  St Albans

SALARY:  Competitive salary, AE Pension, 25 day’s holiday + Banks per year, career prospects for the right person

Candidate: You will have a natural ability to plan and organise with minimal disruption to assist in the continuous work-flow of the install. Key to your success will be your adaptability and flexibility to ensure a professional job is carried out every time. This is a physically demanding and all weather working environment.

Duties:

Your main duties will include but are not limited to:
• Lead fitter of an installation gang
• Completing a variety of installations
• Overseeing installations
• Working closely with customers and office personnel
• Supervising fencer’s mate
• Carry out and conduct all Health and Safety checks and equipment including ground tests (pipes).  Check drawings for site to ensure installation in correct area
• Ensure area of work is cordoned off and in place where work entails working near public areas
• Carry out product inventory check to ensure all products will fulfil the job requirement completely
• Verify alignment of structures and equipment and position structural components
• Measure and lay-out fence lines and hole positions following the instructions detailed on the drawing spec
• Mark reference points on construction materials
• Use digging equipment in line with break protocol guidelines
• Ensure appropriate PPE is worn for each task undertaken i.e, face masks for concrete mix, etc.
• Ensure full communication with clients/customers and Contracts Manager to ensure the smooth running of the job and that any problems are immediately identified for resolution
• Install fencing and barriers to plan
• Ensure the customer/client and Contract Manager is kept informed and that finished work is checked for accuracy, quality and completeness

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
CSCS Card
SSSTS Card
Full driving licence
Fencing industry experience
Manual dexterity

CAT scanner experience desirable
