Finance Director based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire- to £85,000 plus car allowance, bonus and executive package. An excellent opportunity for a Finance Director to be join a strong leadership team in an ambitious, European company.

Heras is a market leader in providing perimeter protection solutions across Europe. The business operates across six countries, employs over 1,100 people and was successfully acquired by Equistone in 2019.

The UK Finance Director will report to the Group CFO headquartered in the Netherlands and is a member of the local (UK) steering team. A key role on the UK steering team, the Finance Director will lead a finance function, with responsibility for a broad range of objectives, which include;

  • Deploy the Heras strategy to lead a successful transformation on the UK business.
  • Own the full planning and control cycle (which includes performance, working capital and cash)
  • Manage and support the local finance team on relevant issues. This will also include providing hands-on development
  • Leading UK financial reporting
  • Coordination of annual budgets
  • Financial input into capital expenditure proposals. This will also include acquisitions in the longer term
  • Overseeing the ongoing implementation and efficiency of the Navision ERP system.

The successful candidate will be a candidate with a successful history in financial leadership positions. Some of the key skills and competencies include;

  • Advanced knowledge of reporting, budgets, forecasting and analysis
  • Working in transformational situations
  • Able to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong ERP system expertise
  • A history of working in project management industries (or an aptitude to pick up quickly)
  • Results-driven, collaborative, vision, strategic, resilient, decisive
  • Pragmatic, hands-on attitude
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
