Main duties will consist of, but are not limited to:

• Focusing on optimally procuring all requirements for the UK Fencing and Security Group while delivering long term value by identifying and negotiating best deals for CRH FSG and/or the Heras group.
• To build and maintain relationships whilst operating and influencing successfully at all levels of an organisation, across all business functions and to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external
• To lead key negotiations, drafting and implementation contracts and ongoing supplier management to deliver sustained benefits
• To demonstrate and share their knowledge of the use of technology as an enabler for enhancing procurement processes and in particular e-Sourcing
• To successfully define and implement leading edge procurement strategies, including category management development across multiple business entities
• To lead an effective procurement function and promote and instil  best practices together with the required supporting processes and tools at both the strategic and operational level
• Production of reports detailing spend analysis and procurement driven savings and projections
Associated responsibilities:
• To effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders at all levels (both internal and external) to drive the strategic Procurement agenda forward
• To become a strong and effective team player both within the Procurement function and across functions
• Keeping abreast of procurement matters, market shifts and competitive activity whilst communicating this to the team and other managers across the Group
• Setting the example in terms of the delivery of company compliance requirements and Corporate Social Responsibility
• Formal monthly reporting to the Group Procurement Purchasing Manager
• Working in conjunction with all relevant Managers, Directors and senior team members in order to ensure business needs are met through the Procurement sourcing functions
• Optimise resources as required in order to achieve divisional financial targets and goals
• Identification of people development systems and processes which in turn ensures our team is the best at what they do
• To undertake any other duties / projects commensurate with the responsibility and grade of the post, as may from time to time be determined
Essential Requirements
• Educated to degree level – Procurement or Business
• Master degree level will be an advantage
• In depth knowledge and understanding of the role of an effective procurement function and best practices together with the required supporting processes and tools – at both the strategic and operational level
• Demonstrable record of successfully defining and implementing leading edge procurement strategies – including category management development across multiple business entities
• Demonstrated experience of leading key negotiations, drafting and implementation of contracts and ongoing supplier management to deliver sustained benefits.
• Able to build and maintain relationships, whilst operating and influencing successfully at all levels of an organisation, across all business functions and to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with sufficient gravitas and credibility to be able to influence key stakeholders at all levels (both internal and external), to drive the strategic Procurement agenda forward
