The fence mounted microphonic PIDs system is an electronic sensor system which detects unauthorised access utilising sensitive acoustic technology to activate the alarm.
Heras offer a microphonic detection PIDs system from our in house Geoquip product line, utilized and proven in high security applications for over 30 years. With worldwide clients and sites ranging from Governmental and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) to industrial & commercial, this system is renowned for its reliability, quality and longevity.
Tested to the UK governments CPNI test standards, this product ensures peace of mind in any setting. Our offering includes the Geolog Vision HS Software management system and Micralert HS Fence system analyser, which has passed CPNI Cyber test criteria to become CAPSS approved, ensuring protection not only against physical intrusion but from modern cyber and hacker threats.
We have a wide selection of PIDs Fence detection products, from the entry level kits: Geozone, for small sites (up to 300m) the CPNI approved Eliminator for small to medium sites (200 – 1000m).
Our Centralert rack mount CPNI approved system for medium to large sites (1000m – 5000m) and our latest high security device the Micralert HS which is CPNI and CAPSS approved, used on high security sites where total security, both physical and IT security (against a potential cyber attack) is paramount.
The Micralert HS system is our Cyber secure system which, when used with our Geolog Vision HS and secure switches, gives a fully secure encrypted CPNI CAPSS approved (UK government) PIDs system.
The analyser can be monitored and operated remotely using the Geolog Vision HS interface via an encrypted lP Ethernet connection. This interface is password protected for adjusting sensitive analyser parameters such as sensitivity, event counts, and time window. The software can also be programmed to operate the dry relay contact outputs.

The Centralert system is a modular system which is rack mounted with up to 24 zones per rack, perfect for perimeters from 1000m – 10,000m.
Ideally suited to large perimeters where power at the fence is a challenge. All power, intrusion analysis and alarm transmission equipment is located centrally, with just the Alpha detection sensor mounted on the fence line.
The Centralert detection analyser is a modular unit conveniently housed within your plant or control room. This rack mounted unit contains all the hardware needed to analyse every alarm activation. With up to 24 zones per rack unit, it is a compact solution with the added benefit of local power in the control room with no power needed at the fence line.
The Eliminator system is the entry level product line, available in single or dual zone format, ideal for perimeters from 100m – 1000m.
Perimeter detection systems using Eliminator gives the earliest possible warning of intruders. Eliminator can also send alarm information to a wide selection of control room equipment such as CCTV, alarm management systems, and mimic panels. This ensures that control room staff are always immediately and fully informed of any suspect activity. In short, Eliminator is the ideal first line of defence against any intruders.
Eliminator is recommended for small CNI sites such as water treatment and energy distribution.
The Geozone perimeter intrusion detection kit offers an extremely accurate solution for cut, climb detection on chain link and semi rigid fencing. The system works as follows:
Geozone is recommended for locations such as small commercial sites, parking areas etc.
Physical perimeter protection is best explained as systems and technologies designed to protect people and assets within a defined area by preventing unauthorised physical intrusions.
The primary defense is the perimeter boundary for which we designed the Heras Security Model. This model serves 5 goals: to demarcate the boundary of the premises, to deter, delay and detect unwanted intrusion and to deny access for unauthorised parties.
Heras has successfully met and exceeded customer safety and security needs across Europe for almost 70 years. It is this track record, combined with the ever-developing skill set of our personnel that enables us to say that we are the Experts in perimeter protection.
