The Alpha sensor cable is the core of Heras’ Microphonic PIDS systems, designed for enhanced perimeter security.

Its magnetic construction has a number of key components/ techniques to ensure very accurate intruder detection:

  • Lubritube – specially lubricated tubes that enable accurate detection
  • Overlapping aluminium shielding tape and twisted pair cabling provides an effective resistance to EMI
  • Linear detection along the entire perimeter to eliminate security blind spots
  • Detects virtually all malicious attacks up to 1.5 m above and below sensor the installation on fence, wall or across a roof

Alpha cable types are available with:

  • UV-resistant polyethylene sheath for fixing to fence lines
  • Flexible stainless steel conduits for high security sites and installation in razor wire
