About the Role

We are currently searching for a reliable, committed expert in their field to join the Heras family as a Service Engineer. This role will play an integral part in helping to achieve our strategic aim of becoming Europe’s No.1 premium perimeter protection brand.

This role will be field based and the successful candidate must live in or around the Reading/Swindon/Oxford area. The role comes with regular travel across the country as we service sites nationally, however the primary function would be to cover your local area. As we operate nationally, there will be occasional overnight stays.

We are looking for a skilled Service Engineer to provide technical support both within the company/group and to external customers. You will be confident in fault finding, diagnosis, repair, and routine maintenance. You will use your knowledge and expertise to provide solutions and will be performing maintenance functions on products installed. This role involves interpreting and understanding electrical wiring diagrams, technical drawings and documentation.

About You

Essential

  • Must be experienced in servicing gates and barriers but we will consider electro-mechanical/industrial doors/hydraulics experience
  • Full UK Driving License
  • CSCS Card
  • The ability to read wiring diagrams

Desirable

  • ECS card
  • AGSD
  • Electrical qualifications 17th or 18th Edition
  • Demonstrable knowledge in the use of multi-meters and Meggers
  • Possess a logical approach to determine and address the root cause of problems.
