This role will provide an opportunity to support the Service Department and involves liaising with customers, arranging engineer schedules, raising quotes, ordering equipment, and general admin within the Service Department to ensure the smooth running of the department

This role will be office based in our Middleton/ Doncaster branch.

Role Overview

    • Answering incoming calls from customers to establish the problem and arrange engineer visits
    • Address and resolve any issues and complaints
    • Plan for an Engineer visit; check the engineers schedule, know which skills are required, allocate to the nearest appropriate engineer
    • Arranging permits, risk assessments, method statements and access equipment where required
    • Making necessary arrangements for engineers including booking hotels
    • Ensure jobs are completed efficiently, and within the agreed timescale
    • Order any parts required for the Engineers work
    • Produce quotes for the customer based on the work required
    • Promote company products and services to customers
    • Chase quotes for key accounts and overdue renewal customers
    • Updating, adjusting contracts to meet customer needs Heras Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and customer’s systems in real time
    • Preparing and filing job reports
    • Maintain good relationships with service providers and clients to keep customer base
    • Respond to email enquiries

    Close out jobs and update internal trackers to show real time actions





About You

Essential:

  • Good working level of ICT skills on applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Good geographical knowledge for efficient route planning
  • Drivers Licence
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good organisation and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships
  • Positive work ethic
  • Committed to delivering the utmost service/support to the business and our customers
  • Reliable team player
  • Wealth of experience working within a similar role
  • Wealth of experience of resource planning / scheduling field based engineers
  • Administrative experience
  • Experience in customer services
  • Good at building working relationships
  • Practical approach to work and problems
