About the Role

We are currently searching for a reliable, committed and expert Senior Production Planner to join the family. This role will play an integral part in helping to achieve our strategic aim of becoming Europe’s No.1 premium perimeter protection brand.

This role will be based at our office in Balby, Doncaster, and there may be the occasional requirement to visit other sites in the UK.

Overview:

  • Planning of jobs through MRP and release of production orders
  • Schedule generation and management to optimise production throughput to available capacity
  • Populate and maintain production labour board through control of consumption updates.
  • Maintain capacity visibility to offer accurate promise dates to Sales & Installation contacts (ATP)
  • Point of contact for queries on production timescales, changes to delivery dates and risks.
  • Pro-active communication to key stakeholders to identify risk to production schedule and availability
  • Alignment of production, planning, buying and shipping to ensure smooth business continuity
  • Escalation point for production issues resulting in changes to the plan
  • Root cause analysis into delays, BOM queries and material constraints
  • Monitor and react or escalate production backlog orders
  • Key user and owner of the Navision planning processes
  • Daily publication and update of the fortnightly production plan to flag changes to wider stakeholders
  • Produce reports for use in scheduled production reviews and S&OP overview to optimise sales
  • Meet KPIs agreed with M&P Manager
  • Actively review and maintain data integrity to optimise efficiency while managing stock levels
  • Review and challenge processes impacting the production flow to support business wide improvement
  • Maintain service stock level demand

About You

Essential

  • Good working level of ICT skills on applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Exposure and basic understanding of technical drawings
  • Good working knowledge of production principles
  • Knowledge of BOM structures and routing methodology
  • Continuous improvement experience and knowledge of value stream mapping
  • Team leader experience
  • Wealth of experience of a working in a similar planning and scheduling role.
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
  • Have an understanding of production processes
  • Experience of using an ERP system

Desirable

  • Degree
  • Full UK driving license
  • Experience of working within the construction industry
  • Knowledge of using the Navision Planning system
  • Good knowledge of perimeter protection products
